Our First Logo: A Legacy of Vision
The original logo of Microelettrica Scientifica featured a distinctive typeface and a hexagon with double wings, symbolizing a flying bird—an emblem of freedom, development, and forward-thinking.
Inside the hexagon, the capital letters M and S stood for Microelettrica Scientifica, the acronym by which the company became widely recognized across the globe.
This logo marked the beginning of our journey, embodying the values and ambitions that continue to guide us today.

2005
A New Chapter: The Second Logo
In 2005, Microelettrica Scientifica became a subsidiary of Knorr-Bremse, marking a significant milestone in the company’s history.
To reflect this new identity, the logo was redesigned: a combined wordmark and image trademark that visually aligns Microelettrica with the Knorr-Bremse Group. The two elements—name and symbol—are always presented together on a single line, emphasizing unity, consistency, and global integration.
This second logo represents not only a new visual identity, but also a strengthened commitment to innovation, reliability, and international collaboration.

2020
The Third Logo: Strengthening Our Identity
In 2020, Microelettrica underwent a new rebranding phase to reinforce its identity within the Knorr-Bremse Group. The goal was to create a unified and globally recognizable image through a cutting-edge brand architecture.
The new logo incorporates the Knorr-Bremse figurative mark, the corporate font, and the signature blue color shared across all major brands of the Group. This visual evolution aims to enhance brand recognition by establishing a clear association with the corporate identity, while also reinforcing the individual positioning of each company through the Group’s renewed brand values: Innovative, Leading, and Reliable.
For Microelettrica Scientifica, the rebranding involved adapting the existing logo and shortening the brand name to “Microelettrica”, marking a new phase of strategic alignment and growth.
