Technical Sales Manager

Activities

  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with customers and key stakeholders, fostering collaboration, identifying business opportunities and driving sustainable growth.
  • Plan and conduct regular customer visits and meetings to maintain a deep understanding of customer projects, priorities and future needs.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities by anticipating market trends and uncovering emerging customer requirements.
  • Lead customer discussions to understand technical and commercial requirements and translate them into business opportunities.
  • Prepare and coordinate technical and commercial offers in collaboration with Engineering, Product Management and Project teams.
  • Support technical bid preparation, including clause-by-clause analysis of customer specifications and tender requirements.
  • Ensure the completeness and quality of bid documentation, follow up offers and support contract negotiations.
  • Drive profitability through pricing strategies, commercial negotiations and value-based selling.
  • Coordinate customer communications and act as the primary interface between customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Monitor market trends, customer needs, competitor activities and industry developments to support strategic decision-making.
  • Ensure effective reporting and sharing of customer, project and market intelligence across the organization.
  • Support business development activities in cooperation with sales agents and external partners.
  • Contribute to sales forecasting, pipeline management and business planning.
  • Support the successful execution and growth of awarded projects.

Experience & Education

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical, Aerospace or Management Engineering.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar technical sales, business development or account management role.
  • Previous experience in the railway industry is preferred.
  • Proven experience managing key customers and complex sales cycles.
  • Experience in technical and commercial bid preparation and contract negotiations.
  • Fluent English is required.
  • Good level of Italian is required.
  • Proficiency in an additional language is considered a plus.
  • Availability for national and international travel.

In line with our commitment to pay transparency, the expected Salary Package for this Permanent contract Position is €50,000 - €70,000 + company car. Actual compensation will be determined based on relevant experience, skills, and qualifications.
