Speed Indicator CSI

General Characteristics:

The CSI (Connected Speed Indicator) is a compact and flexible speed indicator.

His main characteristics are the easy integration in the driver control desk as well as the electrical and functional interfacing.

The CSI can be interfaced to any TCMS by bus data communication systems, CAN or RS485.

The CSI can be provided with a SIL2 certification.

The speed information can be received also by analog inputs with frequency modulation or current signal.

An analog output is also available proportional to the instantaneous speed value.

Functions:

CSI has been designed to display, inside the driver’s cab of a rolling stock, the value of the speed on a monochromatic LCD graphic display.

For the management of the various functions, the CSI is also fitted with 2 or 3 function keys in line with the configuration, 3 LED lights, an analogue output and a digital relay output.

Available options include:

  • through a pair of frequency coded signals; coming from a main tachometric system, for example ATESS
  • through a pair of current coded analogue signals generated, for example, by a TELOC tachometric system
  • through direct interface with a general control system by means of a field bus, for example CAN
  • through direct interface with a maximum of two odometric generators placed directly on the axles of the vehicle

Environmnental Performances:

The device is suitable for railway rolling stock application, designed to be installed in the cabin.

The device is compliant with all regulations of the rail market. All the components are homologated for the industrial temperature range (from -25°C to +70°C - Class T3- EN50125-1) and ensure proper function in the worst environmental conditions.

Electrical Performances:

The device is characterized by very low energy consumption and the auxiliary power supply nominal range is 24 Vdc or 36 Vdc.
