MATERIALS ARE SELECTED FOR ADDED RELIABILITY

All structural parts are made of stainless alloys. This provides very adequate stiffness and strenght, but at the same time offers reduced thicknesses and minimum weight. Use of totally non-magnetic active material reduces the noise levels generated by pulsing in chopper circuits. No syntetic material is used inside the resistors. All non-metallic parts are high strength ceramics with high dielectric values. The absence of flammable materials eliminates all problems of fire resistance and emission of toxis fumes. Even so, design temperatures are kept well within safety limits to prevent overheating and the long term deterioration which can result from corrosion which can occur even on the most resistant alloys at temperatures well in excess of 600 deg C. Microelettrica Scientifica's resistors meet the most demanding specifications while remaining competitive in price. They comply with all the latest international standards, as well as special standards for projects such as Channel Tunnel or London Underground. They are supplied to leading customers throughout the world
