MECHANICAL CHARACTERISTICS

– Strength: ensured by an original and simple design which guarantees the elements
 almost unbreakable;
– Shape retention: due to the particular elasticity of the grids, and the general elasticity of the complete assembly. The units are capable of withstanding vibration, shocks and temperature variations without any permanent deformation;
– Lightness: due to the use of grids with low thicknesses but very large cooling surface;
– Non-oxidization: assured by the use of the best available stainless steel. This makes these resistors particularly suitable for use in tropical climates or in very polluted ambience;
– Interchangeability: results from an accurate assembling system which permits changes or additions of elements without disassembling the complete unit.

N.B. For open type resistances the temperature is measured on the middle point of an internal grid of the assembly. For enclosed type natural air cooled resistances a three-storeyed enclosure has been considered.
