The rectifier is normally employed to supply energy to trolley bus, tram and underground lines.
The rectifier is available in a single unit having a simple graetz bridge (six pulses) assembled inside a withdrawable trolley or in two units having two graetz bridges (twelve pulses), either in parallel or in serie connection, assembled inside two separate withdrawable trolleys.
The rectifier bridges are available with a single diode per arm or with four diodes in parallel per arm, one of them being redundant (immunity level np+1).
The rectifier bridges are protected from the overvoltage spikes by opportunely designed DC side snubber networks.
The rectifiers are completely designed and manufactured by POSEICO SPA according to his own Quality System Certificate based on ISO 9001:2000.
The rectifier section consists of a single unit in the case of a six pulses graetz bridge or two separate units in parallel connection with interbridge reactor in the case of a twelve pulses rectifier. The rectifier can include the voltage and current measurements, the frame protection relay (64) and reverse current relay (32).
