Protection and diagnostic relay type DIA-IGTV
The main application of the relay is in power supply systems for traction lines and the device performs various protection functions including “remote” failure functions. It also provides information on the status of the circuit breaker for preventive maintenance planning.
DIA-IGTV has the following functions incorporated in one single module:
- Circuir Breaker diagnostic DIA-I : this module provides information on the general status of the circuit breaker and contact and arc-chute wear.
- Load current analyzer DIA-G: this device analyses current rate of rise and detects for line faults rather than multiple motors start near the substation.
- Thermal image DIA-T: this modules monitors the temperature trend of a component (rectifier, cable, motor, contact line, etc..)

Line test device type DIA-LP
The purpose of the line test circuit is to verify the condition of the main line preventing the DC circuit breaker closing in case of overload or short circuit condition.
The line testing device for voltage 750 V is DIA LP/LM type.
The line testing device for voltages 1500/3000 V is DIA LP31 type.
The line testing system consist of these main parts:
- Current injection circuit, connected in parallel with the DC circuit breaker, consisting of a fuse protected contactor with integrity indication and a suitable power resistance.
- Logic device which controls the operation of the injection circuit and is connected with other control devices and/or equipments.
